                 Belkin F5D5020 PCMCIA Card/Notebook Network Card
                Windows 98, Windows Me and 2000 Driver Installation

   Windows 98/Me/2000 provides a complete "Plug and Play" System that 
   automatically recognizes and configures Belkin F5D5020 Card.

   Before installing the Belkin F5D5020 Card, Windows's PCMCIA service must
   be installed and enabled.  This service can be started in the Control Panel.

   1. Driver Installation Steps for Windows 2000:

       1) Insert Belkin F5D5020 Card in one of the PCMCIA Slots and start Windows 2000.

       2) The "Found New Hardware Wizard" dialog box appears. 
          Click the "Next" button.

       3) Select "Search for a suitable driver". 
          Click the "Next" button.

       4) Select "Specify a location". 
          Click the "Next" button.
       
       5) Insert the Belkin F5D5020 Card driver CD in the CD-ROM drive (e.g. D:.)
          Type "D:" and click OK.

       6) When Windows 2000 finds the driver information in D:\NET5020.INF, 
          click the "Next" button.
       
       7) The installation process copies all the required files to the hard disk. 
          If Windows 2000 prompts for digital signature to continue, click the "Yes" button.
          Please wait for the process to finish.

       8) Click "Finish" to complete the installation process.
          Then windows 2000's Network is up and running.

   2. Driver Installation Steps for Windows Millennium:

       1) Insert the Belkin F5D5020 Card driver CD in the CD-ROM drive (e.g. D:.)
        
       2) Insert Belkin F5D5020 Card in one of the PCMCIA Slots and start
          Windows Millennium.

       3) The "Update Device Driver Wizard" dialog box appears. 
          Select "Automatic search for a better driver", 
          then click the "Next" button.

       4) Windows Me will automatically find the driver on the driver CD, 
          and install it.
       
       5) Click the "Finish" button to complete the installation process.
       
       6) Reboot the machine to start the network.   

   
   3. Driver Installation Steps for Windows 98:

       1) Insert Belkin F5D5020 Card in one of the PCMCIA Slots and start
          Windows 98.

       2) The "Update Device Driver Wizard" dialog box appears. 
          Select "Automatic search for a better driver", click the "Next" button.

       3) Select "Specify a location".

       4) Insert the Belkin F5D5020 Card driver CD in the CD-ROM drive (e.g. D:.)
          Type "D:" and click OK.

       5) Windows 98 will find Belkin F5D5020 Card information in D:\NET5020.INF.
          Click the "Next" button.
          
       6) The installation process copies all the required files to the hard disk.  
          Please wait for the process to finish. If the process prompts the location 
          of the Windows 98 system files, place the Windows 98 CD in the CD-ROM drive 
          and enter the location of the CD-ROM drive in the dialog box.  

       7) Click "Finish" to complete the installation process.

       8) Reboot the machine to start the network.

   Note:

      When Windows 98/Me/2000 and the Network is up and running, it is not recommended 
      to remove the Belkin F5D5020 Card from the PCMCIA slot without telling the system
      first.  Before you remove the adapter, please follow these steps:

      1) Double click on the My Computer icon, and then double click on 
         the Control Panel icon.
      2) Double click on the PCMCIA icon.  The "PC Card (PCMCIA) Properties"
         window appears.
      3) Select "Belkin F5D5020 PCMCIA Card/Notebook Network Card" from the list, 
         and then click the Stop button.
      4) Wait until the message box with the "You may safely remove the device" message
         appears.  Click OK.
      5) Remove the Belkin F5D5020 Card from the PCMCIA slot.

      If you do not follow these steps and just pull the adapter from the PCMCIA slot, 
      the system may hang and you have to reboot the system.
